Introduction

This monograph is a logical continuation of the above-mentioned papers.
An attempt to answer a number of questions, concerning a complex approach
towards wind wave numerical simulation in the world's oceans under the
condition of its spatial non-uniformities is undertaken. It should be pointed
out that the non-uniformities are understood as the effect of currents, nonuniform ocean depths, ice, the influence of the Earth's sphericity, etc. on
wind waves. This monograph considers wind waves in the framework of one
general problem formulation as a probabilistic hydrodynamic process. Its
spatial variability ranges between global scales of the oceans comparable to
the Earth's radius, to regional sea and local coastal water area scales, where
oceanic waves terminate their existence having travelled thousands of miles.
