These results confirm the findings of the previous section. To prove the excellent
spectral characteristic preservation, the correlation coefficients between the fused and
the original bands for the multisensor and single-sensor multiscale IKONOS images
are presented in Table 2.2. The coefficient values show that the spectral quality of the
images is nearly the same for all different scale ratios.
