2. Transfer the organs into culture vessels with culture medium and culture at 20°e.
Results
According to Wolff (1962), who cultured these organs for 2 weeks, the
dorsal vessels did not show any movement during culture, and some cells
of this organ showed pycnotic nuclei after 1 week culture. The nervous
system, pancreas, gonads, and intestine could be kept in a healthy condition for 5-7 days. Among the media tested, Medium Ch.P, which consists
of 7 volumes of 1 % agar containing Gey's solution, 5 volumes of seawater
and 1 volume of horse serum, gave the best results.
