Results
According to the 1 week culture performed by Oyama and Kamemoto
(1970), the young developing oocytes could be maintained and the germinative zone with numerous cell divisions was not affected. The culture medium promoted the proliferation of interstitial cells, and some
growth of young oocytes. However, maturing oocytes in later stages of
development were not maintained.

1. Wash the animals many times with seawater sterilized by filtration.

2. Keep the animals in sterilized seawater containing penicillin (150 lUI
ml) for several hours.
