The contours of phycoerythrin
fluorescence (Fig. 7) strongly resemble the contours of the E530:E450
ratio.
The highest values for both parameters occurred adjacent to
the Bank, that is on the seaward side with the maximum concentration
with depth at approximately 50 m.
Along with the measurement of fluorescent parameters, direct
cell counts of fluorescent particles were made at selected stations
