Today the Control and Steering Group for the 0resund Fixed Link (KSO) is composed of:
• The Swedish Environmental Protection Agency with three representatives
• The County Administrative Board of Malmo with three representatives
• The Department of Environmental and Public Health Protection of Malmo with
three representatives
• A secretariat with two employees who administer the daily work
The Swedish Geotechnical Institute is co-opted to the Control and Steering Group
and participates with two representatives. The remaining authorities conduct their supervision independently but are also consulted through the Control and Steering Group
when necessary (Fig. 17.1).
By direction of the Swedish government, the Swedish Environmental Protection
Agency and the County Administrative Board of Malmo shall continuously inform the
government about the fulfilment of the task. Among other things, this is done through
semi-annual progress reports regarding the environmental consequences of the construction work on the 0resund Fixed Link's coast-to-coast installation, which are produced in co-operation with the Danish authorities [Ref. 1-4].
