4 Metalorganic and Metalloidorganic Compounds
When applying inorganic coordination nomenclature to such compounds they can be named essentially without any prior supposition by
prefixing the name of the ligand group (including hydrogen = hydrido) to
the unchanged element term of the central atom.

Triphenylbromine

t-Butoxy-t-butylhydridoaluminum
When naming mixed element hydrides and their organic derivatives it
would be logical per se to follow the priority order laid down in the
complete list of replacement terms (Table 20) accepted by inorganic
and organic chemists alike. This, however, conflicts with the ranking
selected by Chern. Abstr. for its substantially longer (compared to
IUPAC) priority list of compound classes, where heteranes of element
groups 14-16 plus boron take precedence over hydrocarbons of any
kind. This leads to the following totally non-systematic priority sequence:
P > As > Sb > Bi > B > Si > Ge > Sn > Ph > 0 > S > Se > Te > C
ClzHC-PH -SiH2CI (Chlorosilyl)( dichloromethyl)phosphane
Me3Se-SbPh4
Tetraphenyl(trimethyl-A 4 -selanyl)-A 5 -stibane
F3S ==C-SF3
Trifluoro( trifluoro-A 4 -sulfanylmethylidyne)A 6 -sulfane
t- Bu-B[Si(i-Pr hh t- Butylbis( triisopropylsilyl)borane
