Chemical Glycosylation Reactions
employed for the 1,2-trans glycosylation, it was reported that the glycosylation of a series of
alcohol acceptors with peracetylated sugars in the presence of FeCl 3 provided stereoselectively 1,2-cis-α-glycosides, which might be generated by the anomerization of the 1,2-transβ-glycopyranoside by FeCl 3 ( > Scheme 9) [12].
Magnusson et al. introduced BF 3 ·Et 2 O as a promoter for the formation of alkyl glycosides from 1-O-acetyl-2-deoxy-2-phthalimidoglucopyranose ( > Scheme 10) [13]. And then,
BF 3 ·Et 2 O was applied for the synthesis of a number of oligosaccharides as an activator
of glycosyl acetate donors. Gurjar et al. applied BF 3 ·Et 2 O for the synthesis of the oligo⊡ Scheme 9
