Habitat: Wet grassland, streamsides.
Description: It is a widespread perennial herb 1 m tall. Stems are flattened,
four-angled, sometimes glabrescent.
Leaves of this species are subsessile
to petiolate, 0.4–3 cm wide. Cyme is
densely arranged, being head shaped,
axillary, without common peduncle.
Corolla is white, tubular, and its lobes
measure 0.5–1 mm across. The shoot of
this species is edible (Tao and Taylor,
2011).
