Common name: Salmon.
Distribution: Africa: Restricted to Algeria (Geelhand, 2013d).
Habitat: Marine, freshwater, and brackish water.
Description: Dorsal fin of this species is slightly higher than long and
is located more posteriorly than in
other  Salmo  species. Caudal fin is
more forked. There are 8–12 round,
black spots (parr marks) on the sides,
and such spots are more prominent in
juveniles and are retained in adults.
It grows to a maximum size of 60 cm
(Geelhand, 2013d).
