Distribution: Native to Alaska, Baja
California, and Mexico; Canada, United

Habitat: Lakes, rivers, and streams.
Description: Body is elongated and
somewhat compressed, especially in
larger fish. No nuptial tubercles are
seen. Stream residents and spawners
are darker in color. Lake residents are
lighter, brighter, and more silvery. This
species grows to a size of 120 cm and
25.4 kg (Torres, 1991j).
