Family: Viviparidae
Common name: River snail.
Distribution: All over the southern
Asia region; Iran, Bangladesh, Nepal,
Pakistan, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, and
throughout India (Budha et al., 2010a).
Habitat: Almost all types of lowland
water bodies, mainly stagnant water
and low-saline water resources such as
rivers, streams, lakes, ponds, wetlands,
marshes, ditches, paddy fields.
