Description: Shell of this species is
more or less oval and acuminate with
variable and irregular dark bands.
Adults of this species have a length of
>25 mm and average weight of 3.5 g.
They are livebearers; i.e., the juvenile
snails are retained inside the mantle
of the mother for several weeks.
This species feeds primarily on particulate detritus in soft sediments
(Brown, 2002).
