Burma (Jadhav, 2009).
Habitat: Rivers, ponds, and lakes.
Description: This species is without
a head but with a beak. Lateral teeth
are posterior to the beak. It has a foot
rather than a byssus. There is no true
siphon. The inhalant aperture has
branched papillae. This species attains
sizes of 22, 36, 46, 51, 55, and 57 mm
at the end of its first to sixth years,
respectively. The life span of this mussel is about 6 years (Dey, 2007).
