2. Telecommunication Instrument
Compared with the telemetry/telecommand channel, the function requirement of
telecommunication instrument was relatively simple, which was to send high speed
data back to the ground. Therefore, the suppressed carrier modulation architecture was generally applied to realize higher utilization rate of downlink signal.
Generally the telecommunication instruments included modulator, power amplifier,
telecommunication antenna and etc.
1) Modulator
The modulator was one of the major active devices of telecommunication, which
was used to implement suppressed carrier modulation of the data on the downlink
carrier. Compared with the unified carrier modulation architecture, the suppressed
