20.3.3 Relationship of Energy- Duration
The relationship of Energy-duration in the test of specimen A, B and C is shown in
Figs. 20.16, 20.17, 20.18. The duration was short than 5.0 × 10
2
µs in the fracture
process of specimen A and specimen B. For specimen C, the acoustic emission signal
with energy higher than 1.0 × 10
6 eu had a duration greater than 5.0 × 10
2
µs and a
maximum of 1.0 × 10
4
µs. Therefore, the duration of fiber fracture signal is much
higher than that of resin cracking.
