landslide susceptibility mapping of Iran by binary logistic regression, analytical
hierarchy process, and SIMs along with this they also compared the performances
of model, which also shows that LRMs is better than SIMs; Similar result has been
observed by Lim et al. (2011) in Penang island, Malaysia and Dou et al. (2015)
in Osado Island, Japan where LRM was found to be more reliable than SIMs in
the study of landslide susceptibility. Akgun (2012) also compared LRM with other
models and the result showed LRM has a better accuracy than other models. Similary
a study by Acharya and Pathak (2017) in Marsyangdi River Basin (Chepe River is
a tributary of Marshyangdi River), West Nepal also used LRM for the assessment
which showed 74 and 77% accuracy.
