is behind China and the absolute value is far
behind;
• electric vehicle (EV) sales growth in the USA is
projected to be similar to China, although China’s very recent adoption of a new energy
vehicle credit policy will likely accelerate
growth; the overall size of the EV market
appears much larger in China, where the government has announced aggressive EV sales
targets of 20% of new vehicle sales by 2025;
• CO 2 emissions decline marginally in the USA,
while they rise in China; both nations will need
