The resultant falling height for knife with holder will be 1.33 m for 65 J striking
energy and for block it will be 2.04 m for 100 J striking energy.
The penetration depth of the blade in the plasticine is measured with a ruler.
Therefore, the resultant hole is excavated. A line diagram of test setup is shown
in Fig. 1 for testing stab and impact property of body protector. Figure-2 indicates
penetration or deformation of plasticine clay after test. Tests are carried out at 90°
angle on the body protector for stab and impact resistance. The striking energy was
60 J and 100 J for Stab (Knife) and Impact (Block) tests, respectively (Fig. 2).
The requirement for pass/fail as per standard is given in Table 1.
