Nevertheless, the reported deep eutectic solvents do not certainly fall into one of
the above-mentioned classes given their versatility and the myriad of the considered
starting compounds. As a result, Coutinho and coworkers proposed type V deep
eutectic solvents composed of nonionic species. In their study, they proved that mixing thymol with menthol led to severe negative deviations to ideality due to a strong
interaction between the components. The latter is attributed to resonance effects
