is of great significance to select the appropriate trajectory height to guide the design
and industrial operation of scrubber.
As can be seen from Fig. 7, the trajectory height of the liquid decreases with the
increase of gas flow rate, and the curve of trajectory height also has a sudden change
point. When the liquid flow rate is fixed, the larger the gas flow rate is, the stronger
the impact force on the liquid will be, so the trajectory height will gradually decrease.
However, at the sudden change point, the trajectory height curve will change due to
the change of the flow pattern of the gas–liquid two-phase flow.
Hydrodynamics of Gas–Liquid Two-Phase Flow with Liquid
Flow Rate
The liquid flow rate influences the flow pattern and the collision between the liquid
and the dusty airflow, which decides the dedusting performance of the washing
scrubber. As can be seen from Fig. 8, the pressure drop increases with the increase of
liquid flow rate. The pressure drop also increases with the increase of gas flow rate
under the same liquid flow rate. Figure 9 shows that the trajectory height increases
with the increase of liquid flow rate, and decreases with the air flow rate under
the same liquid flow rate. This is mainly because at a certain A/T, the thickness of
the liquid film increases when the liquid flow rate increases, and the resistance of
the liquid film to the airflow increases. In addition, the trajectory height of liquid
increases, the time for gas to pass through the liquid layer increases, and the flow
resistance between gas and liquid increases. However, with the increase of air flow
rate, the covering area of liquid film increases, and the collision between the gas and
liquid phases is more intensive, so the energy loss is large.
