10.4.4.2 Tensile Property
The tensile property of the welded joint no. 4 was tested, and the test results are
displayed in Fig. 10.41. The tensile strength of the weldment and BM is 679.2 and
665.2 MPa, respectively. The elongation of the weldment and BM is 38.2% and
44.3%, respectively. Compared with BM, the strength of the weldment is higher,
and the elongation of the weldment is lesser. Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM)
figure of tensile fracture is shown in Fig. 10.41c. There are a large number of dimples
and tearing edges in the tensile fracture surface. It is a mode of the ductile fracture.
10.4.4.3 Bend Property
Figure 10.42 shows the weldment specimen after bending test. No obvious cracks
were found on the surface of the weldment. It indicates that the S32101 duplex
stainless steel K-TIG welded joint has good ductility.
