research and awards by the Onassis Foundation, the State Scholarship
Foundation, and the NTUA.
Jenny Lieu is a research fellow at SPRU (Science Policy Research Unit) in the
University of Sussex. She is currently the Co- Principal Investigator for
TRANSrisk, a Horizon 2020 project that evaluates risks and uncertainties of
low- carbon transition pathways at national, regional, and global levels. She
has a diverse research interest in energy and climate policy and innovation
studies. Jenny has provided consultancy services, producing strategic recommendations for energy and environmental infrastructure firms and conducting policy analysis for international institutions.
Gordon MacKerron is Professor of Science and Technology Policy at SPRU
(Science Policy Research Unit), University of Sussex, having been Director

power, climate change mitigation, and energy security.
Jakob Mayer MSc is member of the EconClim Research Group at the Wegener
Center for Climate and Global Change and a PhD student in Economics &
Social Sciences at the University of Graz. His research covers climate change
economics, particularly regarding the transition to low- carbon or carbon- free
socio- economic systems. He is experienced in quantitative (computable general
equilibrium modelling) and qualitative methods (stakeholder interaction).
Alexandros Nikas is a PhD student at the Management & Decision Support
Systems Laboratory of the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering,
the National Technical University of Athens. He has long- standing experience in designing and utilising scientific processes and systems in support of
energy and climate policymaking, as well as of bridging the climate–policy
interface. His interests lie in climate–economy modelling, operational
research, and stakeholder participatory frameworks.
Mbeo Ogeya is a research fellow at Stockholm Environment Institute in the
Energy and Climate Change Programme. He has 11 years’ research experience in renewable energy technologies. He is a Long- range Energy Alternative Planning tool expert with skills in energy systems modelling,
engineering design, solar photovoltaic, bioenergy, and energy efficiency. His
research area seeks to address energy trends and associated flows across all
levels of production, distribution, and utilisation, from micro to macro
systems for effective policy formulation.
Aikaterini Papapostolou is a PhD candidate at the Management & Decision
Support Systems Laboratory of the School of Electrical and Computer
