Nation. She is a passionate environmental advocate for Indigenous communities in Canada and has the role of providing companionship and care
for other senior Elders.
Aikaterini Forouli is a PhD student at the Management & Decision Support
Systems Laboratory of the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering,
the National Technical University of Athens. Her expertise lies in portfolio
analysis and robustness techniques for the support of decision making in
environmental policy issues and energy planning. She has further interest in
stakeholder- driven multi- criteria analysis methods and climate–economy
modelling frameworks for climate change simulation and mitigation/
adaptation policy evaluation.
Wytze van der Gaast has worked for JIN Climate and Sustainability since 1995
on research and policy advice on emissions trading, technology transfer, and
low- emission transitions. He has been involved in 16 EU- funded projects
and has been regular adviser to UN bodies on climate policy topics.
Xaquín García-Muros is a postdoctoral researcher at the Basque Centre for
Climate Change (BC3) and holds a PhD in Economics from the University
of the Basque Country (2017). His main research interest is to create and
spread knowledge in the field of energy, climate change and public economics, and the distributional impacts of climate change mitigation
policies.
Nikolaos Gkonis is a senior energy efficiency expert and a PhD student at the
Management & Decision Support Systems Laboratory of the School of
Electrical and Computer Engineering, the National Technical University
of Athens. He has a deep knowledge of energy efficiency and energy services issues, as well as a remarkable track record of projects both in technical and policy framework. As a consultant to the Greek Ministry of
Environment and Energy, he is a member of the working group for policies,
measures, and models for the preparation of the Greek National Energy and
Climate Plan.
Luis E. Gonzales Carrasco worked in the government of Bolivia in the Social
and Economic Policy Analysis Unit (UDAPE) (2005–2008), was adviser to
the Ministry of Finance of Chile (2012–2014), and is currently an Associate
researcher at the Latin Amer ican Center for Economic Policies and Social
CLAPES UC of the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. He has a
Masters degree in Public Policy from Harris School of Public Policy at the
University of Chicago in the United States.
Mikel González-Eguino is a senior researcher at BC3 (Basque Centre for
Climate Change) and has a PhD in Economics (University of the Basque
Country, 2006). His main interests lie in learning how the integration of
social sciences and natural sciences can support decision making in the transition to a low- carbon, sustainable economy.
