Rodrigo Cerda received his PhD from the University of Chicago in 2003. He is
an associate professor at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, and
since 2014 also co- director of the Centro LatinoAmer icano de Políticas
Sociales y Económicas of the same University. His main research interests
are macroeconomics and development.
Ying Chen is a senior research fellow at the Institute of Urban and Environmental Studies (IUE), Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS), Deputy
Director of the CASS Research Center for Sustainable Development
(RCSD), and Professor at CASS Graduate School. Since 2013 she has been
a Chief Researcher Fellow for Innovative Program in IUE, CASS. She
worked as a lead author for the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change
(IPCC), the Fifth Assessment Report (AR5), and Sixth Assessment Report
(AR6). She is a vice chairman of the Chinese National Committee for
Future Earth (CNC- FE).
Ed Dearnley works at the Science Policy Research Unit (SPRU) of the University of Sussex. He has 18 years’ experience of project management, public
policy, and business analysis, mainly in the environmental sector (air quality,
climate change, and energy efficiency). Prior to joining SPRU, he worked as
a policy officer for the UK non- governmental organisation Environmental
Protection UK, before starting his own air quality and climate policy consultancy.
Tahia Devisscher is a research associate at the Stockholm Environment Institute, Oxford Centre, UK, and a postdoctoral research fellow at the University of British Columbia, Canada. Since 2008, she has worked on
development and the environment, mainly on climate change adaptation.
Tahia applies an interdisciplinary approach to study environmental issues
and build social–ecological resilience. She has consulted for the World Bank,
UNEP, and UNDP, and engaged in 15 international research projects with
partners across the globe. She obtained her PhD in 2016 from the University
of Oxford.
Haris Doukas is an assistant professor at the School of Electrical and Computer
Engineering of the National Technical University of Athens. His scientific
and research expertise includes the development of models and decision
support systems for energy and environmental policy and management. He
has participated, as a scientific coordinator/project manager/main expert, in
the design of energy policies and programmes promoting renewables, energy
efficiency, and rational use of energy at a local, national, and European level.
Cecilia (Cece) Fitzpatrick, also known as White Bear Woman, is an Aboriginal
woman leader and elder born to Phillip (former chief ) and Victoria McDonald in Fort McKay First Nation, Alberta. Cecilia grew up travelling through
the trap lines with her family and learned how to live off the land. She has
experience in the oil and gas industry and governance of Fort McKay First
