Rocio Alvarez- Tinoco is Research Fellow at SPRU (Science Policy Research
Unit), University of Sussex. She got her MSc and PhD degree in Science
and Technology Policy Studies at SPRU. Her current research focuses on
risks and uncertainties in low- carbon mitigation pathways for nuclear and
renewables. She has research experience in capabilities development, institutional change, and has worked in several Latin Amer ican countries and on
R&D and technology transfer in firms.
Apostolos Arsenopoulos is a PhD candidate at the Management & Decision
Support Systems Laboratory of the School of Electrical and Computer
Engineering, National Technical University of Athens. He has been intensively involved in power systems issues and energy–economy system modelling; his interests mainly lie in climate–energy–economy modelling,
operational research, and extended portfolio analysis.
Iñaki Arto is a senior researcher at BC3 (Basque Centre for Climate Change).
He has a PhD in Economics and his research focuses on environmental–
economic modelling (Integrated Assessment, Computable General Equilibrium,
Dynamic Econometric Input–Output), social metabolism, and clean production.
Gabriel Bachner is a post- doctorate researcher and member of the EconClim
Research Group at the Wegener Center for Climate and Global Change
(University of Graz). His fields of research focus on the economics of
climate change impacts, adaptation, and mitigation, for the latter particularly in the energy and transport sectors. He has extensive experience in
macroeconomic general equilibrium modelling and also stakeholder
involvement.
Krisztina de Bruyn- Szendrei graduated in chemistry at the University of
Szeged, Hungary. She obtained her PhD in natural sciences at the University
of Groningen, in the Netherlands, based on research on developing novel
renewable solar cells. Afterwards, she joined JIN Climate and Sustainability,
the Netherlands, where she worked for four- and-a- half years as a researcher
on topics in the framework of renewable energy.
