Clean Energy Production
A certain proportion of water will be employed to generate clean energy using electrolysis, a means whereby water is converted to hydrogen energy. Instead of using
standard approaches, this research proposes a direct water electrolysis system on the
basis of a novel integrated monolithic photo-electrochemical (PEC)/PV device
illustrated in Fig. 22.4. This device has similarities with a GaInP 2 /GaAs p/n tandem
cell device. With this mechanism, a solid-state tandem cell comprises a GaA lower
cell with a link to a GaInP 2 upper cell created using a tunnel diode. The upper p/n

is seen in the electromotive force combining positive and negative charges, gathering the “static”
electricity together to draw in the water molecules

radiation of 320 nm is applied on water it commences disinfection of microorganisms as soon as
the temperature reaches 50 °C
