the adoption of consolidative perspectives that are not focused on improving food
security, solely, but targeting the enhancement of water and energy securities, being
the building-blocks of food provision and supply chains. In addition, more emphasis
should be granted to predictive and simulation models as means to assist policymakers in taking efficient decisions prior to the implementation stage. This would
serve as a preventive measure against potential systemic failures that would occur in
the future and which can hinder the achievement of resources security.
