Fluvial Raw Soils—in sediments deposited by flowing
water, on land surfaces with a high risk of flooding,
Tephric Raw Soils—in unconsolidated deposits of volcanic
origin including ash, scoria, lapilli, pumice, and other
pyroclastic materials, and reworked tephric materials including lahar and lake deposits,
Orthic Raw Soils—on eroded land including landslide scars,
on rock outcrops, or on redeposited products of erosion such
as landslide runout deposits.
The Gley Raw Soil group is the only Raw Soil group to
