defined in the calculation of economic cost.
2.2.2 Environmental Analysis: Indirect Water Footprint
The environmental calculation model developed by the ARDITEC Group to evaluate
all the stages of the building’s life cycle allows the evaluation of different environmental indicators [24]. In our case, the starting document will be the project’s budget
and the environmental impact of the consumption of the resources consumed is evaluated by means of a methodology based on the analysis of the LCA, using international
databases of LCA of construction products [52]. In order to facilitate the introduction of materials with lower environmental impact into the construction sector, this
methodology for calculating the footprint of materials takes into account the energy
required during the life cycle of the cradle to door. From the general analysis of
the different UP that makes up the construction budget, the direct costs (DC) are
extracted, which are broken down into machinery, labour and materials Fig. 10.
Machinery
The energy consumption of machinery is considered to be the main environmental
impact, linked to the power of its engine and to working hours (Madelyn [47]. For
