are a series of external factors that influence the measurement and quantification of
these requirements and that can vary the need for extra water inputs, these factors
are: the presence of salts in the soil and the fact that the irrigation systems are not
fully efficient.
In order to know the efficiency of the irrigation system, the method used and its
effectiveness is of great importance, since the percentage of water used by the roots
of the plants depends to a great extent on this. In order to quantify this efficiency, both
filtrations, run-off and evaporation of irrigation water are considered, depending on
the irrigation system used, all through the application efficiency coefficient (Ea).
