is used to cover the regulating tank by anchoring it on the sides of the tank to
prevent the odor from escaping out of the regulating tank, which is movable with
the level of the percolate within the safe water levels.
B. UASB anaerobic reactor
The UASB (upflow anaerobic sludge blanket) consists of the reaction zone, the
three-phase separator and the air chamber, bottom-up. A large amount of anaerobic
sludge is present in the reaction zone, featuring high precipitability and coherency.
The percolate flows in via the bottom of the anaerobic sludge blanket to be mixed
with the sludge, with the organic matter degraded, generating biogas that forms an
upflow bubble. The gas-solid-liquid mixture goes up and is separated in the
three-phase separator, from where the sludge gas flows into the air chamber, the
sludge settles and returns to the anaerobic reaction zone, and the effluent separated
with the sludge runs out over the top of the overflow weir.
C. MBR system
The part consists of the front-mounted anoxic section (denitrification zone), the
aerobic section and the membrane module.
The UASB effluent flows by gravity to the denitrification reaction tank, which is
equipped with a submersible mixer to thoroughly mix the wastewater with the
returned sludge.
Most of the organic matters are degraded and the ammonia nitrogen and organic
nitrogen are oxidized to nitrite and nitrate, by high-efficiency aerobic microorganisms in the aerated tank. After the effluent from the aerated tank has been
imported into the membrane chamber, most of the sludge-water mixture is returned
to the denitrification tank by the sludge reflux pump. The nitrite and nitrate are
reduced to nitrogen (to be discharged, realizing denitrification) by the microorganisms which use the organic matter in the UASB effluent as a carbon source in
the anoxic environment.
The ultrafiltration membrane module effectively intercepts the microorganisms,
colloids, heavy metals and organic macromolecules in the activated sludge mixture,
to obtain high biological concentration and prolong the residence time of organic
solids in the A/O reaction tank, greatly enhancing the oxidation rate of the organic
matters by the organisms.
D. Sludge dewatering plant
The sludge dewatering plant is equipped with the horizontal spiral centrifugal
dewaterizer, the flocculant preparation device, the horizontal spiral conveyor and
other related equipment.
The excess sludge from the anaerobic reactor and the aerobic tank is imported
into the sludge thickening tank, from where the thickened sludge is conveyed to the
centrifugal dewaterizer collectively by the spiral pump to be dewatered. The
supernatant of the concentration tank is returned to the percolate regulating tank,
and the filtered sludge is sent to the landfill to be disposed of.
