I. Natural background ions (required)
Potassium, calcium, sodium, magnesium, sulfate, chloride, carbonate and bicarbonate are monitored once a year.
II. Regular indicators (required)
pH value, dissolved oxygen, redox potential, conductivity, color, smell and taste,
turbidity, visible substances, total hardness, total dissolved solids, iron, manganese,
volatile phenols, anionic synthetic detergents, permanganate index, nitrate nitrogen,
nitrite nitrogen, ammonia nitrogen, fluoride, selenium and total coliform bacteria
are monitored once in wet season and once in dry season.
Among them, pH value, redox potential, conductivity, turbidity, color, smell and
taste, visible substances and other indicators shall be monitored on site.
III. Characteristic indicators (required)
Hexavalent chromium, zinc, copper, nickel, cadmium, lead, mercury, arsenic and
cyanide are monitored once a quarter and sampling frequency shall be increased
when pollution in groundwater is found.
IV. Characteristic indicators (optional)
Organophosphorus, total petroleum hydrocarbons, halogenated hydrocarbons and
monocyclic aromatic hydrocarbons are monitored once a quarter and sampling
frequency shall be increased when pollution in groundwater is found.
6. Evaluation of pollution source intensity classification (to be improved)
(1) Hazard classification of pollution sources
① Indicator, weight and scoring
According to the above evaluation method, the capacity of the hazardous waste
landfill (X 1 ) is 22 Â 104 m
3 with a score of 4. The landfill time (X 2 ) is 12 years
with a score of 5. The maximum leachate production (X 3 ) is 35 m
3 /d, with a score
of 10. The impermeable material (X 4 ) is natural material lining + synthetic material
lining, with a score of 4. The impermeable layer of HDPE geomembrane is 2.0 mm
thick (X 5 ), with a score of 1.
② Evaluation of hazard classification of hazardous waste landfill site
According to the equation:
W ¼ a 1 Â X1 þ a 2 Â X2 þ a 3 Â X3 þ a 4 Â X4 þ a 5 Â X5;
W ¼ 0:2549 Â 4 þ 0:2133 Â 5 þ 0:2049 Â 10 þ 0:1707 Â 4 þ 0:1562 Â 1
The calculated hazard indicator is 4.9741, Grade II.
