The production area includes the incineration workshop, heavy metal hazardous
waste recovery workshop, waste oil distillation recovery, vibrating membrane waste
oil recovery, waste organic solvent recovery, waste battery recovery, waste organic
solvent and waste oil tank area, waste organic solvent product handling platform,
waste oil product handling platform, solidified waste disposal, and warehouses for
high toxic waste, chemicals and other wastes.
The production area is arranged in the middle of the plant area, and the incineration workshop and its supporting facilities for receiving, storing and transporting
hazardous and highly toxic wastes are located at the southwest part in the middle of
the plant area, near the main entrance and exit, with waste oil and waste solvent
storage area located to the south. The waste oil distillation, vibrating membrane
waste oil recovery and waste organic solvent recovery facilities are located to the
east of the trunk road, near the entrance and exit. The heavy metal hazardous waste
treatment workshop, waste battery recovery, solidification workshop, ordinary
waste warehouse and so forth are arranged in the large workshop.
There is a landfill pit in the security landfill area, which is arranged in the middle
of the plant.
The area of utilities and auxiliary facilities include air compression nitrogen
production, circulating water, fire pump room and fire pool (including foam firefighting station), machine maintenance workshop, boiler room, substation, sewage
treatment and garbage truck garage (Fig. 5.57).
According to the characteristics of complex composition, various types and
serious harmfulness of hazardous wastes to be treated, different treatment methods
are required for different types of wastes, so as to realize recycling, reduction,
harmlessness and stabilization of hazardous wastes in terms of safety, economy and
technical feasibility. The following treatment and disposal schemes are proposed for
various wastes of typical sites.
