of background value monitoring wells and may be related to high background
values. The magnitude of excess reaches 32.5–130.00 times for nitrite, significantly
higher than that of Q2, so the operation of the landfill is considered the main cause.
In short, due to the operation of the landfill, sulfate, manganese, permanganate
index, nitrite and ammonia nitrogen in the groundwater exceed the limits by 1.06,
2.15–24.97, 1.15–2.06, 32.5–130.00, and 2.80–85.65 times respectively. This
affects groundwater from the landfill to the bank of the Jinma River.
(4) Groundwater pollution source intensity evaluation
The landfill is an existing source of groundwater pollution without seepage control.
According to the process shown in Fig. 3.3, the groundwater pollution source
intensity evaluation needs to consider the hazard of groundwater pollution sources
and the mitigation performance of the vadose zone. The vadose zone of the site is
mainly composed of artificially accumulated backfill, medium sand and pebbles,
