It is now possible to make transparent DE actuators using SWCNT electrodes
(Chiba et al. 2012; Chiba 2016). The integrity of the actuator is not broken even with
a needle (see Fig. 28.4).
Various types of medical and industrial sensors are under development (Chiba
2019c). Examples of medical sensors are shown in Figs. 28.5 and 28.6. Examples of
industrial sensors are described in Sect. 28.4.
