9.2.2 Case Database of Emerging Technologies
This research collects different emerging technology cases and finds associated TRIZ
innovative principles to build innovative database. Designer can use keywords to
search related innovations and get new product concepts by innovations and TRIZ
innovative principles. Each emerging technologies case is recorded in the database
with information about this emerging technology, such as the case number, the
name of case, a brief introduction of case, the characteristic of this emerging technology and related TRIZ inventive principles and effect of environmental impact.
Currently, we collected 42 emerging technologies cases in the case database, as shown
in Table 9.1.
9.3 ARIZ Method
9.3.1 The Development of ARIZ
Russian scientist Altshuller (2000) developed the serial methods of problem-solving
which are called TRIZ theory by analyzing more than 40 million patents. ARIZ
