There are many potential sources in urban
areas that are generally located physically away
from the urban center but still have to be considered as a part of the urban airshed. Airports are
one of these.
Airports are usually located in the vicinity of
larger cities and often mentioned as potential
sources of high pollution loads in the urban areas
(note: the haze in Photo 2a at the Delhi airport is
probably not from the airport activities alone but
