Promotion of well-being and health are a consequence of the implementation of solutions that lead to improvements when the factors that generate dissatisfaction are
known. Quality of life is the result of a satisfactory work environment. The internal
public is the hospital employees, the main beneficiaries of possible future solutions,
and also the company, which will gain from better employees’ performance as a result
of work improvements. Finally, the external public is favoured, as disease indicators
may drop with the implementation of ergonomics in organizations. Improvement of
the system’s performance may enable higher quality care for patients in the public
health care sector.
