Fig. 16.9 Technical infrastructure indicators in 2007 (own study on the basis of the data from [22]).
Legend: 1—the number of km of the water supply network per 1 km of the sewerage network, 2—
the density of the water supply network per 100 km 2 , 3—the number of connections to residential
buildings in thousands: a—water supply, b—sewerage, 4—names of voivodships in accordance
with the numbering presented in Table 16.1
In the scope of removing biodegradable pollutants contained in municipal sewage,
the National Program for Municipal Sewage Treatment has been developed. This
program defined agglomeration lists that should be equipped with collective sewerage
systems and sewage treatment plants as well as the size of biodegradable loads from
these agglomerations, municipal sewage treatment plants and deadlines for their
implementation [24].
The National Program for Municipal Wastewater Treatment [24] was approved
by the Cabinet on December 16, 2003. The Program includes a list of agglomerations
together with the necessary list of projects to be carried out in these agglomerations
in the field of construction and modernization of collective sewage systems, by the
end of 2015. The implementation of the entire KPO ´
SK was divided into four-time
horizons, i.e. the years 2003–2005, 2006–2010, 2011–2012 and 2014–2015. Program
