After drying, a sample was placed on a glass slide. A droplet of distilled water was added, and
it was examined under a microscope to detect the presence of PHB crystals.

3 Harvesting and drying
After cultivating Spirulina platensis in LMK medium and obtaining a large volume of culture,
the cells were harvested and dried for bioplastic production.
3.1 Materials
• Spirulina platensis culture
• Manual pipettes
• Microcentrifuge + tubes
• Stainless steel spatula
• Distilled water
• Crystallizer
• Laboratory oven
