speaking, Morocco produces about five million tonnes of clay bricks per year. Brickmaking impacts one’s health and the environment it affects the air quality. Part of
the solution to this problem is that brick-building weaving techniques are changing contemporary architecture in Morocco as a sure-fired sharp practice to improve
sustainable luxury craftsmanship. Fortunately, ‘craftsmanship is Morocco’s future’
[35, p. 30]. If products are man-made rather than machine-made, then clay-fired
brick products have become more sustainable in today’s sense of the popular-reuse
properties of organic products. And presents unexpected approaches to incorporating
brickwork within contemporary architecture in innovative ways.
3 Crafting Luxury, Berber Textiles and Brick Making
Today, when we think about rampart cross-cultural consumerism and globalisation
of an object as well as their link to mindful craft, much emphasis is placed upon on
where a luxury product comes from and where it is made, before it is sold online. It is
rarely considered in relation to historical change or the actual archiving of physical
luxury products such as drawings, clothing and accessories or its display in the crafted
