Materials for organic electronics involve conjugated stiff segments and their
processing steps include many times solutions and annealing. This means that the
LC nature, whether intentional or not, becomes an inherent part of their materials
science and engineering. Already for this reason, we believe that deepening understanding of LC phase behavior of conjugated polymers and supramolecules remains
important for years to come.
