part of the valley, large alluvial fans prograding from steep valley slope truncates
into Yamuna River. The incised near vertical scarps formed due to toe cutting are
omnipresent. At Lakhamandal, on the right bank of Yamuna, three to four level of
terrace surfaces at height of ~240 m, ~125 m, ~60 m, ~5–8 m are observed (Fig. 7).
Likewise on the left bank, equivalent terraces are raised at height of 5–8 m, 60 and
125  m from present day Yamuna channel. Individual terrace surfaces are incised
into several terrace lets. Again downstream to Lakhamandal, the Yamuna River
