Chattanga and Naugaon, six level of terraces are well preserved at elevations of
~120 m, ~105 m, ~95 m, ~20 m, 5–10 m and a youngest terrace from present
Yamuna river bed (Fig. 6). The terrace sediment is dissected by tributary channels
leading to several fan surfaces. In downstream direction, after Manjauli village area,
the Yamuna Valley again becomes very narrow and V-shaped with single channel
flow till Lakhamandal where again valley is very wide. In segment between Manjauli
and Lakhamandal, the terrace deposits are preserved in patches and are easily discernible along road cutting. These deposits are equivalent to terrace staircases preserved in wider valley parts and represents distinct palaeo-floodplain levels. In this
