in physics, chemistry, biology, engineering technology, economic management, and other disciplines. It is still one of the hot spots and focuses of
mathematical research in the world. In 1932, he obtained the necessary and
sufficient conditions for the infinite separable distribution law of random
variables with second-order matrix. In 1933, he published the book Probability Theory Foundation, in which he established the axiomatic conclusion
of probability theory for the first time in the world on the basis of measure
theory and integral theory. This is a great work of epoch-making significance. It is the most glorious page of mathematics in the former Soviet Union
in the history of Science. In 1935, he proposed the concept of reversible
symmetric Markov process and the necessary and sufficient conditions for
its characteristics. This process has become an important model of statistical physics, queuing network, simulated annealing, artificial neural network,
and protein structure. From 1936 to 1937, he gave the state distribution of
countable state Markov chain. In 1939, he defined and obtained the statistics
and distribution function of the maximum deviation between the empirical
distribution and the theoretical distribution. In the 1930s–1940s, he and
Khinchin developed the Markov process and the stable stochastic process
theory, which were applied to the automatic control of artillery and the
