• Actively—oxygen intake in the mass of water—is achieved by air diffusion through
the air-water interface, but also by the photosynthesis process by which oxygen is
released in the mass of water;
• Passively—oxygen consumption—which occurs through natural pollution (e.g.
erosion), direct pollution by waste-water spillage and aerobic decomposition but,
in particular, anaerobic decomposition of organic debris from sediments. It is
known that in anaerobic processes there are microorganisms that do not require
the presence of dissolved oxygen, the final products of the processes are sulphides,
hydrogen sulphide, methane, etc.

in an Overview of Physico-Chemical and Biological
Indicators
We consider it necessary to mention that the study aims to present the values of some
indicators characterizing the quality of the Mure¸ s waterbody confluence Petrilaca—
confluence Arie¸ s, for the period 2015–2017. We will present and discuss the minimal,
