Sílvia Albareda-Tiana is senior lecturer of Experimentally Science at the Faculty of Education of
Universitat Internacional de Catalunya (UIC), Barcelona, Spain. Director of the Sustainability of
the UIC and Head of the Research Group SEI (Integral Sustainability and Education). Theologian
Doctorate, master’s degree in Landscape Architecture and Biology degree. Her research is focused
on analysing how Education for Sustainability Development is being implemented in the Spanish
University System, helping to clarify the concept of sustainability, design teaching and learning
strategies for the implementation of Sustainability in the universities and evaluate the results of
this implementation. She is the author of more than thirty-five articles and one book of scientific
impact.
