Dr. Kakeru Ruike received his Ph.D. in Environmental Studies from the University of Tsukuba, Japan. His
doctoral thesis is about the behavior of cyanobacterial
toxin in agricultural ecosystems, such as its absorption
into edible crops and sorption onto soil particles through
irrigation from eutrophic lakes and ponds. He has continued his research into the monitoring and maintenance
of this particular strain of microcosm.
RUIKE, Kakeru, Ph.D.
Researcher/Bio-Eco Engineering Research Institute,
Foundation for Advancement of International
Science
(Chapters 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8)
Dr. Ken-ichi Shibata received his Ph.D. in Environmental Science from Yokohama National University,
Japan. He served as a research associate at Yokohama
National University and Toyo University, undertaking
microcosm study. He has been studying oscillations and
synchronization in biological systems and green synthesis of metal nano-particles.
SHIBATA, Ken-ichi, Ph.D.
Adjunct teaching staff, Yokohama National University
(Chapters 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, appendix)
Dr. Rie Suzuki received her Ph.D. from Tsukuba University, Japan. Innovative results have been obtained by
Dr. Suzuki on the effectiveness of strengthening purification restoration in buffering areas of ecological engineering technology to lower the risk to the environment.
This research has been conducted by analyses on the
relationship among the purification function stabilization, biological pollution index, and food chain ecosystem. Further, she has undertaken evaluations on on-site
domestic wastewater treatment by the Johkasou disposal
system. Dr. Suzuki has been a visiting lecturer at
Fukushima University and Toyo University and has
