13.3 Impact on Crop Yield Enhancement
PGPRs ameliorate plant health and productivity by enhancing the nutrient status
of soil and host plants (Dey et al. 2004). The bioavailability of nutrients and their
increased uptake may significantly enhance the nutrient use efficiency of plants.
Increased solubilization of nutrients (macro and micro) by PGPRs enhanced their
uptake and accumulation (Parmar and Patel 2009; Dhiman et al. 2019; Bhatt and
